All right, you get the hint, I am a coffee enthusiast...I just have to have it in the morning to have a good kick-off for the day. It could be served in an elegant coffee cup or a mug, you can put a bit milk in it or let it be black, I do not care, all I want to do is to take a sip and let the energy boost inside of me :) I may not finish the whole cup but it will be just enough to energise every bone of mine. It may have not that effect and I might exaggerate it a bit but believe me you don't want to see me (even I don't want to see myself :) on the days where I did not have my cup of caffeine boost to start the day with. I usually prefer having a cup of simple filter coffee (or french press) with a little milk in it in the morning. It is almost a must-have. But if I am somewhere to enjoy the sunset or the view of an exciting city, then I'll have a cappuccino. Or if I am in long long kitchen conversations with my mom, then I'll have turkish coffee (only made with a coffee pot under medium heat, not one of those power machines) Click here to go to the website of Pasabahce. Just a quick tip: I pour a bit of the hot water first into only the filter to get the filter smell off. Enjoy the sweet drop of heaven! :) “I have complete faith in the continued absurdity of whatever’s going on.” Jon Stewart What I had in Texas, USA Ofcourse Steak, what else? well, allright add the lobster on the list...:)18/9/2014 The amazing feeling of having filled the torturing cliche in Texas left no questions unanswered at my second time in Houston. Why was it torturing? Because when I told people that I was in Houston the first time and did not have steak, they gave me a horrifying look like I committed a crime or something. So when I was planning my second trip to this huge city, I had already programmed myself for a piece of steak. It would not matter if it was going to be an evening where I was going to be really hungry or what kind of restaurant it was going to be, I had to have the steak so I could breath easily again :) The result: Yes! It was great! the best steak that I had ever had...I can't say anything bad about it. Great meat, great preparation, amazing taste... I don't know how many kilos I had gained on my second trip to Texas, but I had started eating once and had no plans of stopping it :) So I tasted the lobster the first time in my life! Yes I was a lobster-virgin! :) Who would have thought that I was going to have lobster the first time in my life in Texas? :) The result: as much as I was excited to taste the lobster, unfortunately it disappointed me a bit. Although it looked amazingly attractive, it came out to be boring when I was expecting an exotic savor...nope...me no accepting...I definitely have to try it somewhere else! I know my plates look always nasty, sorry about that! :) "you have to motivate yourself with challenges. that is how you know you are still alive. " Jerry Seinfeld Before you say anything, I do apologise for the picture, I know it looks disgusting and would make you lose your appetite but it would not be fair if I had left this story out and unfortunately this is the only picture of it that I have. Ladies and Gents, hereby I would like to introduce the "octopus spaghetti" to you. Ta-Taaaaa...Wanna take a guess where I ate it? mmmhhh? Of course in the mother country of pasta; ITALY! :) (in Venice, unluckily in one of the tourist-attracting over-priced restaurants near Rialto Bridge). I usually prefer having the most delicious "spaghetti carbonara" when I visit my favourite country, but this time I wanted to be open for new tastes so I tried this scary looking but pleasant-tasting spaghetti with octopus dipped in a octopus sauce. Twirl your fork and wrap the pasta around it!! You won't regret it! "We want to do a lot of stuff; we're not in great shape. We didn't get a good night's sleep. We're a little depressed. Coffee solves all these problems in one delightful little cup." I will not sleep well if I leave my gorgeous-designed birthday cake (a surprise prepared by my lovely sister) unmentioned. Since I am in preparation of moving to Vienna, she had the most endearing idea to literally shock me with this suitcase-designed birthday cake. I will probably never forget this one special birthday party, it was one of the highlights of the year. Like the cake says; I had a very happy birthday! At the top of it, Schwerin is a good idea to visit for a tranquillising day. Its shimmering lake surrounds the Parliament building which makes a merged-cathing-view. |
